Naming Tips
- If you are not sure about a name, say it out aloud, say it many, many times and even shout it out aloud [like you would if you were calling them from a distance] – and see if it fits. Remember you are going to say the name about 2,735,000 times by the time the child is 18 years old – so you want to be comfortable with it!
- If you really can’t decide on a name, wait until the baby is born and then look at the baby. Often some names you considered will suddenly seem to fit
- If your family or friends strongly suggest names that you are not happy with, don’t announce your decision until after the baby is born. It will save potential arguments and upsets, and once the baby is born, most people will just accept the name you have chosen as there is no debating it any more!

These names can be made up, or researched or come from our environment [colors, seasons, plants, flowers]. You can also choose from movies such as Lord of the Rings where a name like Frodo is unique but still recognized.
